The Piddle Wood Plod 10k
14 June 2020
RUNNERS are once again invited to take part in the Piddle Wood Plod 10K this summer -Taunton’s one and only multi terrain 10k race. The race, which starts at 11:00am, follows quiet country lanes and forest tracks and is sponsored by Perry’s Cider, of Dowlish Wake, near Ilminster and CT-Live event specialists. This year all money raised will be donated to Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment (S.U.R.E) and Thurlbear School PTA. The Hydro Harriers are really looking forward to welcoming people to our Sixth Piddle Wood Plod, which will be suitable for all abilities. Piddle Wood is a beautiful spot nestled on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, situated in the heart of the woods is Wych Lodge lake which the runners will pass by before heading back to the school, once again the folk band Stampita will be entertaining runners in the woods.
We’re really grateful to the Forestry Commission for allowing us to use their land and to Perry’s Cider and CT-Live for their continued sponsorship.
